Comet Lulin in Leo
6" Newtonian, Canon 350D, 94*30secondsClouds during February prevented Lulin from being seen at its best. There is now not much of a tail visible.
This is a stack of all 94 images. A short tail can be seen trailing to the left.
The comet was moving at high speed across the background stars. This image is stacked on the stars and shows the path of the comet (left to right) over a period of 3 hours. (Gaps are due to battery changeovers and other technical problems).
